Anytime a day Smoothies

After a nice little juice cleanse smoothies seem like a real treat. I mean anything you can technically use an eating utensil with gets pretty exciting. So today I bring to you a few of my favs. My smoothie cravings typically take place around breakfast after a morning jog but these smoothies can take place anytime of day. Post or pre workout is always great or even for a late night ‘dessert’.  One of the things I love about smoothies is that you could have one every single day and never make it the same… variety variety variety!

[[Don’t forget a simple/basic smoothie can even be substituted during a juice cleanse (Just be sure to keep it as basic as possible: almond milk, fruit, protein powder, cinnamon). After only juice, I swear you’d think you were eating ice cream!]]

My most common post run smoothie entails…

Jamie’s Gem (although I don’t allllways measure)

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup non-fat greek yogurt
  • 7 almonds
  • Tbsp flax seed
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder
  • Handful of spinach (besides adding nutrients all it does is change your smoothie color to green, I promise!)
  • Topped with cinnamon
  • Optional: (1 tbsp nut butter, sprinkle of oats, vanilla extract)

Cleansing Green Smoothie

  • 1 Cup No Sugar Added Frozen Fruit Blend
  • 1/2 Small Banana (Frozen)
  • 2 Cups Fresh Spinach
  • 1 Serving Non Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Sliced Almonds
  • 1/2 Cup Ice Cold Water

Coconut Creation

  • 1 serving protein powder
  • 1/2 banana cut into chucks (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped kale
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk
  • 2 tbsp organic unsweetened coconut

Beautiful day here in Portland, can’t wait to get out and enjoy it! Have a great weekend 🙂

❤ Jamie
