AMURRICA! I’ll Drink to That…

Happy Election Day! Nothing like a well-crafted drinking game to get you in the patriotic spirit, right?

Disclaimer: We are in no way intending to downplay the importance of the election or exercising your right to vote, we just think everyone is a little wound up with all the politics talk going on and we want to insert some fun into it. Just a fun little reminder not to take life too seriously 😉

Over at DebateDrinking.com, they created a drinking game for Election Night…and to me, it sounds like a great way to spend this otherwise hectic and stressful evening. So grab a skinny cocktail and play along!

Here’s how to play:

Whether you get your results from CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, C-SPAN or one of the broadcast networks, take a drink* every time someone on screen says anything on the following list:

  • Ground Game
  • Firewall
  • Sandy
  • Photo ID
  • Recount
  • Youth Vote
  • Enthusiasm
  • The Name of a Third Party Candidate (Gary Johnson, Jill Stein,Virgil Goode, Rocky Anderson)
  • Ohio
  • Reagan

Stock up on your favorite beverages, follow Debate Drinking on Twitter and follow along with their website  to drink with other players! They will be drinking to a different network each hour and keeping score on an exclusive, real-time, drink-totaling scoreboard. Or, just play on your own 🙂

7-8 pm – ABC

8-9 pm – NBC

9-10 pm – CNN

10-11pm – Fox News

Drinking starts Tuesday, November 6, at 7:00pm Eastern

*Because this may be a high scoring game, we define a drink as a gulp of beer or sip of wine or liquor. Know your limits and please drink responsibly.

So make yourself an El Presidente and have a little fun with Election Day… And be thankful we don’t have to do this again for 4 more years.

❤ Sarah
